Thinking Ahead

Today one of the NRO buffla-heads discovers the horrible situation in Uganda. Way back when Obama sent troops to Uganda to help stop the horrific situation in Uganda caused by Kony's Lord's Resistance Army, horrid little man and vile lying lunatic Rush Limbaugh accused the President of waging war on Christianity.

It's not just his lies and vile rhetoric about Fluke and contraception, the man, if that's the word I want, is a walking talking example of all that is wrong, vile, and destructive in America's public discourse. And, whatismore, it is not a mistake that he is a conservative culture warrior. All that is vile, wrong and destructive in America's public discourse grows out of the need of the "cultural war" for lies, vile rhetoric, and wrong-headedness.

  1. Uganda has long been an ally in the war against homosexuals, much like Afganistan prior to 9/11 was an ally of the rightwing in the international war against contraception. It's strange that all these people that claim to love and be guided by god are all horrible people.

  2. It's almost as if they know they are horrid little thus and suches and consequently need some cover for their horridness.

  3. I think that's it, they know they are awful people and they try to compensate by being religious. I used to do something similar with my diet, I know that I eat bad, so I thought I was compensating by being a vegetarian. I still gained a lot of weight, fried has a lot of calories. I think Romney does the same thing with his religion, he is a nasty man but somehow believes being Mormon compensates for his nastiness. Religious people still need to cut their nastiness calories regardless of the source.

  4. Anonymous, I like the phrase nastiness calories, which nicely describes the fat heads on the Right.
