Two riders, one of whom was the still-leading Volckler, missed a turn on the final descent and rode onto a small parking area. Volkler
claimed:
"Technically, I went above my capacities. I didn't take time to think of what I was doing, especially when I ended up in a car park. I closed my eyes, I jumped my front wheel over the sidewalk, I was still on my bike when I re-opened my eyes, so I turned back and I went on racing but my companions were gone."
Tomorrow, assuming it doesn't snow, will be enormously fun to watch:
This has been an awesome tour, I am starting to become a Voekler fan, probably just in time for him to lose the yellow jersey. Can't wait to get home from work tonight and watch it.
