Debate

On the whole it was a train wreck. Romney lied, condescended, and generally acted like the privileged prick that he is. Obama tried to have an actual discussion based on previously stated positions or the lack thereof. To the extent that this tactic failed, which I am not sure it did, it failed because Romney lied and acted like a privileged prick.

I suspect that most people watching the debate decided that Romney is a privileged and lying prick and that Obama did he best he could trying to pierce the squid ink. As evidence I offer the always wrong Andrew Sullivan's analysis.

  1. In a semi continuation of the last comment thread, it's mitt romneys job to be a lieing prick, you can see him going into a company that he knows is about to be outsourced and sincerely telling all the workers and managers that they will be taken care of. Or that he has no plan to outsource their jobs, knowing full well the plant will be closed in a few weeks.

I take back what I said about Romney not being good at his job, the man is a gifted lier.

  2. Yes indeedly do, we saw him last night shredding truth, justice, and the American glee with a near psychotic glee. Like whatshisname in American Psycho. He is a disgraceful and horrid little man.

  3. The only time mitt seems to be happy is when he's lying, or promising to fire big bird.

  4. That should be the American way. True he has admitted that he likes to fire those who work for him. The man is beneath contempt. I am broke but I just gave Obama 10 bucks.
