It's the year-long wait that makes the Tour so great and, at the same time, so nerve wracking. by next year one or both of the Schlecks could be out of racing and, in terms of Voeckler - whose name I misspelled consistently - won't be the Tommy V of this year. Remember when Hincapie won the Queen's Stage and came back the next year as a GC hopeful?
Being a very new fan of bike racing I can't say I remember Hincapie:). What has surprised me is how much bike racing really is a team sport, even if the individual is the back without a good team they don't do as well.
It really is an amazing sport, it's too bad Americans only care about it when a celebrity American is involved.
I am psyched for next years tour already. Can't decide whether to root for Voechler or the schlecks, maybe even Evans. Probably voechler.
